Brushing is the most important thing you can do to remove decay causing bacteria and plaque from your teeth.

It is recommended that you brush your teeth at least twice a day and after meals to prevent plaque and debris from building up on your teeth.




Tips for brushing your teeth:

  • Choose a soft bristled tooth brush that allows you reach all areas of your mouth
  • Brush along a 45 degree angle along the gum line
  • Brush along the outer, inner, and chewing surfaces of all your teeth
  • Be sure to brush your tongue to remove bacteria and to freshen breath
  • Brush for 2-3 minutes each time you brush


Flossing is also important in keeping your teeth clean. Flossing gets rid of the bacteria in between teeth that regular brushing cannot reach. You need a piece of floss about 18-20". Be sure to guide the floss in between your teeth and gently move up and down to remove plaque.
